About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Male Senior Support Worker to join our team at SeeAbility. As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to individuals with complex needs, including those with autism and learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality support to individuals with complex needs, including those with autism and learning disabilities.
- Work closely with the Positive Behaviour Specialist to ensure the implementation of the PBS plan.
- Supervise daily outputs and assist the deputy manager in managing staff performance, development, and appraisals.
- Assist individuals to engage in their interests and hobbies, and to live the life they want to live.
- Take personal responsibility for the quality of care and assistance delivered to individuals.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of individuals.
- Help individuals to plan towards and achieve both short and long-term aims.
- Plan and deliver activities, such as learning and social engagements, that are creative and explore new opportunities.
- Assist individuals to manage their personal affairs, including preparing for and attending appointments.
- Ensure individuals and their families are treated with respect, dignity, and equality.
About the Person You Will Support
Adam is a young man with autism and moderate learning difficulties. He enjoys going out in his vehicle on pre-planned routes, listening to music, and engaging in colouring activities. His favourite food is pasta, and he prefers routine and predictability.
