Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Service Design Strategist to join our team at NTT DATA. This is a full-time position based in London, UK, with opportunities for flexible work options.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a crucial role throughout the entire project process, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver user-centric services. As a Service Design Strategist, you will be responsible for ensuring that discovery and design projects are rooted in a deep understanding of users and their needs, enabling us to create accessible services that reduce friction and complexity.

You will be expected to ensure quality, innovation, and creativity in how we approach all aspects of service design and communicate those insights effectively to stakeholders. This includes developing your skills and contributing to the wider Tangity community.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of comprehensive service design strategies that meet business objectives and user needs.
  • Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including project managers, product owners, and designers, to ensure effective communication and alignment.
  • Facilitate workshops, co-design sessions, and other collaborative activities to foster user empathy and drive design solutions.
  • Analyse complex problems and develop innovative solutions using a range of tools and techniques, including user research, journey mapping, and service blueprints.
  • Develop compelling presentations and reports to communicate design recommendations to stakeholders, using visual aids such as diagrams, infographics, and case studies.
  • Collaborate with external partners, clients, and vendors to ensure seamless integration of service design into organisational operations.
  • Promote the value of service design across the organisation, providing training and support to colleagues on best practices and methodologies.

Your Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Service Design or a related field.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as design, business, or social sciences.
  • Strong background in user-centred design methods and practices, including user research, journey mapping, and service design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex design concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and principles, with a commitment to inclusive design.
