About the Role:


We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Elysium Healthcare, where your culinary expertise will make a real difference in the lives of our service users.


Responsibilities:



  • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
  • Prepare and cook meals to a consistently high standard, taking account of any special requests or dietary requirements.
  • Serve food and beverages to service users, staff, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Participate in food costings and adhere to the 'Safer Food Better Business' standards and record keeping.
  • Assist in menu planning, researching and creating new menus that meet healthy eating guidelines.
  • Take full shift responsibility for the catering operation and maintain good food storage procedures and stock rotation.

Requirements:



  • 18 years or older
  • GCSE or equivalent English
  • City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 (or equivalent) Basic Food Preparation Cooking
  • Basic Food Hygiene (essential)
  • Previous experience in a similar environment and delivering a service on mass.
  • Menu planning, costing, ordering, stock control and budget experience.
