Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer to play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our diverse infrastructure across the Port of Liverpool and Manchester Ship Canal.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to further develop your expertise in facilities management and building services with Peel Ports Group, one of the UK's leading port and logistics companies. As a key member of our small dedicated team, you will ensure that our buildings, areas, and services are serviced and maintained to allow our colleagues and customers to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be the first point of contact for Facilities and Contract Management issues, collaborating with contractors and suppliers to plan, coordinate, and execute planned maintenance and repairs, including electrical, mechanical, and structural requirements.
  • You will maintain safety, quality, environmental, and statutory compliance requirements to a high standard, conducting regular reviews and managing performance to ensure agreed KPIs are achieved.
What We Offer

In addition to a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, we offer a range of flexible benefits, including 27 days holiday per annum, pension, and a commitment to learning and personal development.

Requirements
  • Experience in mechanical or electrical engineering, ideally in a facilities management or building services environment.
  • Proven experience managing the work of sub-contractors and teams to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • The ability to prioritise and organise your work in a busy environment.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • IOSH Safety qualification.
  • Asbestos Awareness.
  • A full UK driving licence.
