Job Title: Building Pathology Expert

Location: Various locations throughout the UK

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Building Pathology Expert to join our team at Essential Employment. As a key member of our property inspection division, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive damp and mould surveys, identifying building defects, and providing expert advice on remediation works.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building pathology and damp investigations, with a relevant technical qualification (HNC or higher) in a related field. You will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to relay complex information to contractors and customers alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough damp and mould surveys to identify building defects
  • Providing expert advice on remediation works and specifying necessary repairs
  • Managing contractors to ensure high-quality work is completed on time and within budget
  • Producing detailed condition reports for use in court proceedings
  • Supporting our team of Response Surveyors with comprehensive damp investigations

Requirements:

  • Relevant technical qualification (HNC or higher) in Building, Surveying, Damp Remedial Works, or a similar technical field
  • 6+ years' experience in damp investigations and building pathology
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to contractors and customers
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
