Job Summary

Rydon Maintenance is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dartford, Kent. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will assist with managing costs for our responsive and planned housing maintenance and repairs contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain and evaluate cost information from each of our Housing Repairs contracts.
  • Ensure a realistic cost for the supply of works, goods, materials, and services is achieved.
  • Identify cost anomalies in directly delivered and subcontracted works using the NHF Schedule of Rates.
  • Timely purchasing and negotiating Sub Contract, Material, and Plant orders.
  • Ensure Subcontract, Plant, and Material orders pass down all risks where possible in relation to the Main Contract and are inclusive of all necessary Health and Safety information.
  • Ensure Subcontractors and Suppliers are approved and meet company standards prior to procurement.
  • Paying and monitoring Subcontractor progress.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience gained within a housing maintenance environment (reactive/responsive repairs, cyclical, and/or lifecycle repairs). SOR (Schedule of Rates) experience would also be beneficial. You will also demonstrate strong MS Office packages experience, great communication skills, and the ability to build excellent relationships both internally and externally with our clients and sub-contractors.
