Job Title: Stage Production and Event Management Lecturer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stage Production and Event Management Lecturer to join our team at AWD online. The successful candidate will have a strong background in event production and management, with a passion for teaching and mentoring students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deliver, and assess teaching sessions for students on event production and management courses
  • Develop and maintain curriculum content for event production and management courses
  • Contribute to the development of new courses and programs in event production and management
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as event management, production, or a related field
  • Proven experience in event production and management, with a strong understanding of industry practices and trends
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Postgraduate qualification in education or a related field, or a willingness to undertake such a qualification within two years
Desirable:
  • PhD in a relevant field, such as event management, production, or a related field
  • Experience of teaching at post-compulsory or undergraduate level
  • Knowledge of industry-standard software and technologies used in event production and management
  • Experience of working in a technical or design role in the live events or broadcast industries
