Reed Accountancy is currently partnered with a well-established and ever-growing organisation who are seeking a Bookkeeper to join their friendly finance team on an interim basis. Initially, the role is a 6-month interim assignment, however, could be made permanent at the end of their interim assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including bookkeeping, cash flow reports, and managing payables/receivables.
- Reconcile and approve supplier invoices for payment, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Reconcile supplier statements with accounting software, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Issue invoices and manage daily financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Handle direct debit payments and conduct month-end invoicing, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Send remittance advice to suppliers for payments made, ensuring clear and transparent communication.
- Process employee expenses, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous administrative experience is desirable, with full training provided.
- Professional and polite communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Working knowledge of Sage is advantageous, with training provided.
- Ability to document and record processes accurately, maintaining high levels of attention to detail.
- Highly focused and organised, with a keen eye for detail.
- Professional and friendly demeanour, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-focused environment, prioritising tasks and managing time effectively.
