Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assembly Technician to join our team at the Institute of the Motor Industry. Limited.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assembling parts in a set time period 'Takt time'
  2. Visual quality checks
  3. Using press power tools to insert friction fit parts
  4. Setting & using torque wrenches
  5. Using battery & hand tools
  6. Following standard works
  7. Adhering to PPE and Health and Safety requirements
  8. Some manual lifting
  9. Working in a team or individually as required
  10. High use of hand and vibration tools

Requirements:

  1. Knowledge of transmissions desired
  2. Manufacturing, production or assembly experience
  3. Experience using hand tools including air guns, drills etc.
  4. An understanding of working to safe practices, adhering to health and safety requirements
  5. Good teamwork and communication skills
  6. Excellent attention to detail
  7. PC/ IT skills (training will be provided on in-house software)

Working Hours and Salary:

Monday to Thursday, 07:30AM - 17:15PM

£12.68 PER HOUR Dependant on experience and overtime where available. Overtime available at business discretion for any work from Friday to Sunday would be paid at premium overtime rates
