Your New Role

As an Electrical Design Engineer at Hays Engineering, you will play a pivotal part in designing and developing electrical control systems for a diverse range of industries. Your responsibilities will include creating electrical schematics, block cable diagrams, and BOMs. You will work closely with clients to understand their requirements and provide innovative solutions to their problems. You will also collaborate with other departments, such as production, site installation, sales, and technical support, as needed.

What You'll Need to Succeed

To excel in this role, you will need a strong educational background in Electrical Engineering, preferably HNC or higher, and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar design or project management position. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for interfacing with clients, suppliers, and colleagues. A positive attitude, good IT skills, and a willingness to develop and learn new skills through on and off the job training are also required. Experience with a range of PLCs, HMIs, and Variable Frequency Drives is highly desirable.
