As a Principal Ecologist at Tetra Tech, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our South West Ecology team. With a strong focus on project management, mentoring, and bid support, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career and contribute to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on project management and delivery, working closely with colleagues and clients to achieve high-quality results.
  • Mentor and support other ecologists, providing guidance and training to help them develop their skills and expertise.
  • Contribute to bid support, helping to secure new projects and business opportunities for Tetra Tech.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams, including planners, archaeologists, and engineers, to deliver comprehensive solutions for our clients.

Requirements:

  • Strong field experience in ecology, with a focus on protected species surveys, EPSLs, and conservation licensing.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Confidence in mentoring and training other ecologists, with a passion for professional development and career progression.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work on a variety of projects and with different clients and colleagues.
