We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager to join our team at Clays Birmingham. As a key member of our management team, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our new location.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Management:
- Assist in the overall management and coordination of Clays daily operations.
- Analyse the performance of service on a regular basis to ensure it meets best-in-class standards.
- Responsible for compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, including PPM and audits.
- Support the recruitment, training, and development of colleagues.
- Lead performance reviews (IMPACT CHATS) across departments, maintaining consistency across all departments.
- Financial Management:
- Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, taking action to deliver improvements where necessary.
- Inventory analysis and effectively managing inventory within budgets.
- Marketing and Promotion:
- Support the implementation of marketing and promotional activities.
- Assist in content capture and execution where necessary.
- People Management:
- Be a mentor, a proven high-performing people manager with a track record of developing talent.
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced, high-volume Food and Beverage environment.
- Experience in another competitive socialising concept is desirable.
- WSET Level 2 (not essential).
- Fire Warden (not essential).
- Food Hygiene Level 3.
- Health and Safety Level 3.
- Competitive salary: A base salary of £40,000 with on-target earnings of £52,000.
- Holiday: 32 working days' holiday pro rata each year, including bank holidays, with an increasing allocation up to a maximum of 36 days with length of service.
