Lead Chemist for Sustainable Materials

VRS Recruitment is seeking an Analytical Lead Chemist to join our team. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a critical role in the analytical characterisation of materials produced by our clients.
Your responsibilities will include developing and validating methods on chromatography instruments, devising strategy for analytical chemistry projects, and training colleagues and supervising the Analytical team's work.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our clients. We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits including health insurance, pension scheme, and generous holiday allowance.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 5 years' experience working in an analytical chemistry laboratory
- Developed and validated methods on chromatography instruments; HPLC and/or GC
- Knowledge and practical experience of a wide range of analytical techniques; NMR, KF, titrations
- Devised strategy for analytical chemistry projects i.e. best technique to use
- Gained experience of either training, supervising or managing other analytical chemistry team members
