My client, a well-established precision engineering company in Somerset, specialises in high-end engineering sectors. They seek an experienced CNC Programmer to join their dynamic team.
Job OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for generating CNC programs to manufacture components to design specifications, maintaining awareness of daily work schedules, and coordinating with programming and production managers. Additionally, they will ensure all department documents are processed using standard programming instructions/procedures and work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:- Utilize IT design skills (AutoCAD, PowerMill, PowerShape) to create CNC programs.
- Maintain awareness of daily work schedules and coordinate with programming and production managers.
- Process department documents using standard programming instructions/procedures.
- Work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoDesk, PowerMill, PowerShape, and Tebis software packages.
- Excellent knowledge of CNC machining techniques and processes.
- Experience with Thermoforming, Vacuum Forming, or Pressure Forming tooling is advantageous but not essential (training provided).
- Competitive salary with opportunities for advancement (£50,000 - £60,000 per annum).
- 23 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (plus 3 additional days for Christmas).
