About the Role

This position is designed for individuals with military experience and/or military spouses/children interested in transitioning to the private sector. We're seeking a motivated technician to join our Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement planned preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • React quickly to equipment breakdowns, communicate effectively with affected teams, and work efficiently to resolve issues.
  • Support continuous improvement by analyzing breakdowns, providing feedback, and suggesting improvements through the line manager.
  • Provide high levels of equipment availability to internal customers.
  • Collaborate with Senior Reliability Engineering Technicians to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Manage contractors to ensure seamless execution of maintenance tasks.
Requirements
  • Served a full engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
  • Experience in fault finding within MHE/Automation systems.
  • Experience in interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Experience with conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Apprentice Trained, HNC, HND, BSc, BEng.
  • Experience with high voltage switching.
  • Experience with sortation machines.
  • Experience with maintaining/configuring bar code scanners.
  • Experience with print and apply machines.
  • Experience in fault finding on building equipment (HVAC, Dock Doors, plumbing, and general building maintenance tasks).
