As a Senior Data Engineer, you will lead the efficient and reliable flow of data within the organisation, driving the maturity of Rotork's Business Intelligence function.

Sitting within the Development Team, you will own the design, development, and management of the systems for collecting, storing, and analysing large volumes of data. Your expertise in Azure will be key in creating data pipelines, optimising databases, implementing ETL processes, and ensuring data quality and governance.

With a solid background in on-premises and recent exposure to cloud, you will be confident in collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. This role would suit a technical expert ready to bring ideas to the table and help shape the future of BI in the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and manage data systems for collecting, storing, and analysing large volumes of data
  • Create data pipelines, optimise databases, and implement ETL processes
  • Ensure data quality and governance, collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Contribute to the company's commitment to engineering excellence, safely and sustainably

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems
  • Demonstrable experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Azure services
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse
