An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a dynamic company in the food industry in Telford, UK. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment, conducting regular inspections, and implementing preventative maintenance measures to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. You will work closely with the Engineering Shift Manager and operations department to ensure smooth plant operations.

Essential Skills:

  • Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical disciplines
  • Solid experience in engineering, ideally within a manufacturing setting
  • Skills in mechanical fitting, with machining, welding, and fabrication experience being advantageous
  • Desirable: IEE 17th or 18th edition, advanced Electrical qualification, and knowledge of PLCs
