The Vacancy

Lewisham College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Lecturer in Supported Learning (SEN).

The main responsibilities of this position include delivering and assessing high-quality learning programmes in SEN, as well as undertaking programme leadership, tutorial, and programme administration duties.

This post requires a strong background in learners with complex needs, and the candidate must have a proven track record of professional/vocational expertise in the SEN sector.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to honours degree level (Level 6) or hold a relevant industry-recognised standard, a post-16 teaching qualification, and English and maths qualifications at level 2. Experience of effective programme leadership in FE is desirable.

Key skills include self-management, meeting deadlines, strong oral and written communication skills, and good IT skills. The hours of work will be flexible and may include evening and weekends according to demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and assess high-quality learning programmes in SEN

  • Monitor and evaluate student progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and successful team

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Honours degree level (Level 6) or relevant industry-recognised standard, post-16 teaching qualification, and English and maths qualifications at level 2
