About the Opportunity
NCC Group, a leading business in the software resilience industry, is seeking a talented Trainee Solicitor to join our Software Resilience Legal Team. As a valued member of our team, you will work closely with our business stakeholders to provide focused, commercial, and timely legal advice across multiple areas of law.
The Challenge
In this role, you will be responsible for working with our business to support a range of legal activities, including:
- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and other legal documents
- Creating templates for new products and channel sales streams and updating existing contracts used by NCC Group
- Providing training to new starters in the UK sales and operational teams
- Providing legal advice to colleagues on a wide range of legal and commercial issues, including intellectual property and contentious matters
- Managing daily work flow and supporting the rest of the team
- Researching and advising on technical queries relating to the escrow and cyber security industry
- Liaising with other parts of the business to support compliance, corporate, and the Company Secretary team
- Supporting our international offices, such as Europe and the US, with contract reviews from an English law perspective
Essential Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Evidence of alignment with our desired behaviours, including teamwork, creativity, and diversity
- Evidence of an understanding of key competencies and provide relevant examples where possible
- Prior experience of working in a legal environment, ideally in a role providing advice
- Prior work experience that evidences ability to work in a team and handle people with a wide range of backgrounds and requirements
- Knowledge of the IT sector, particularly escrow and cyber-security, is desirable
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Windows and Office software
