We are seeking a registered nurse to join our team as a Functional Assessor. In this role, you will conduct assessments to understand how health conditions affect daily life. Your findings will inform the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) decisions on benefit eligibility.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for registered nurses to develop their clinical knowledge and hone their assessment skills further. You will work with a diverse range of conditions, including complex cases and mental health conditions. We offer a competitive salary of £37,800 - £39,500 per annum, plus opportunities to increase income through overtime and incentives.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand how health conditions affect daily life.
  • Producing detailed reports to inform DWP decisions on benefit eligibility.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to gather necessary information.
  • Maintaining accurate records of assessment findings and outcomes.

You Will Be Required To Have:

  • NMC-registered adult or mental health nurse with at least 1 year's post-registration experience in the UK.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.
  • Expert clinician comfortable working with diverse conditions, including complex cases and mental health conditions.
