Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Tutor to join our team at a college in Nottinghamshire.

This role involves working on our apprenticeship programme, providing expert guidance and training to students as they progress through their qualifications.


As a Heavy Vehicle Tutor with Skillnet LTD, you will have a strong background in automotive engineering and a passion for teaching and mentoring. Your expertise will help shape the next generation of technicians, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in this demanding field.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality training sessions to apprentices, focusing on heavy vehicle maintenance and repair techniques.
  • Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain curriculum content, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Mentor students, offering guidance and support throughout their apprenticeship journey.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical engineering, automotive technology).
  • Proven track record of teaching and mentoring in a vocational setting.
  • Strong understanding of heavy vehicle systems, including diesel engines, brakes, and suspension.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
