Children's Home Deputy Manager

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join our dedicated Assessments Team at Esland. This is a highly valued role that will provide you with the opportunity to grow with a supportive company.
This Deputy Manager position will be based in one of our Children's Homes, where we deliver short-term, therapeutic intervention and trauma support for young people aged 7 to 18. You will be responsible for supervising and managing staff working in a care role, ensuring that our young people receive the highest quality care and support.
As a Deputy Manager at Esland, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about providing the best possible care and support to our young people. You will be responsible for promoting equal opportunities for all and challenging any behaviour or practice that discriminates against any young person or colleague.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage staff working in a care role
- Ensure that our young people receive the highest quality care and support
- Develop and implement effective care plans
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care and support provided
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a children's residential care home (within the last 5 years)
- At least 1 year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role
- Level 3 Diploma (or above) in Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent
- Thorough knowledge of Ofsted regulations and expectations, relevant legislation and Quality Standards
- Excellent communication and team leader skills
- A full, UK driving licence issued in the UK
- Right to work in the UK with no restrictions
- Candidates must be over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations
