Job Overview

This is a secure food industry role that involves maintaining excellent standards of husbandry and care for birds, while following the instructions of the Farm Manager and adhering to biosecurity protocols.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is £27,500. Additional benefits include a Stakeholder Pension, Life Assurance, and an Employee Referral Program with rewards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the farm's operations by maintaining animal welfare and production efficiency.
  • Assist in bird care, closely following guidance from the Farm Manager.
  • Manage litter, ensuring a clean and healthy environment for the birds.
  • Prepare the farm for chick arrivals and manage bird departures.
  • Ensure the farm remains tidy and properly secured.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines, and wear appropriate protective equipment at all times.
Requirements

No previous experience is necessary; full training will be provided. A genuine interest in poultry farming and animal welfare is essential. Team-oriented individuals with a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, are preferred.
