A family in Thorpe Bay, Essex, is seeking a part-time nanny to provide after-school care for their two children. The ideal candidate will be a fun, proactive, and organized individual who can create a stimulating and safe environment for the children.

The role involves caring for the children, collecting them from school, and taking them to their after-school activities. The nanny will also be responsible for preparing snacks, doing laundry, and tidying up the kitchen.

The family is looking for someone who has a genuine interest in childcare and a real love for children. The nanny will be proactive and positive, encouraging the children to get involved in creative activities both inside and outside the home.

Main Duties:

  • Building connections with the children and creating a warm environment where they feel safe to express themselves.
  • Creating a stimulating and enthusiastic environment with good habits and discipline for homework, practice for clubs, and music.
  • Preparing snacks before clubs and dinner.
  • Doing laundry for the children and putting it in their wardrobe; changing and washing bed linen; ensuring clothes are washed for the next day.
  • Tidying up the kitchen, including filling and emptying the dishwasher.
  • Assisting with homework and practice for clubs/music.
  • Monitoring screen time management.

The role requires the ability to drive, as the nanny will be expected to collect the children from school and take them to activities. The nanny should live within a reasonable driving commute to Thorpe Bay, and mileage will be paid when working.

Requirements:

  • A genuine interest in childcare and a real love for children.
  • Proactive and positive attitude.
  • Ability to create a stimulating and safe environment for the children.
  • Good habits and discipline for homework, practice for clubs, and music.
  • Ability to drive.

Salary: Excellent rate at £18 gross per hour.

Hours: 2pm-7pm, 4 days per week, 20 hours.
