Packaging Technician – Synovex 3rd Shift 10:00pm – 6:30am Sunday – Thursday

As a Packaging Technician, you will work as part of a team operating a pharmaceutical packaging line, operating packaging equipment, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate assigned equipment, including PLC-controlled packaging lines, pellet fillers, and vision systems.
- Maintain accurate records, including timecards, batch records, and logbooks.
- Clean production equipment and facilities, and set up/disassemble packaging equipment.
- Apply good safety techniques, including lock-out/tag-out procedures, and read and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs).
- Work flexible hours and overtime, and be exposed to routine lifting of 20-40 lbs. and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Requirements:
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent required, plus 6-12 months of experience.
- Language skills – able to read and interpret procedures.
- Math skills – ability to apply general math skills.
- Basic understanding of mechanical skills and use of various hand tools.
- Meets the physical requirements of the job.
Preferred Candidate Qualifications:
- Technical school certificate or 1-2 years of college.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with vision systems and robotic fillers.
- Knowledge of PC using Windows-based applications.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals.
- Exposure to product dust/particulate.
- Exposure to loud noise.
- Exposure to temperature variations.
- Exposure to heights of up to 25 ft.
