Overview

This exciting initiative presents an opportunity to work as a Strategic Data Analyst within the Business Insight Team, promoting and supporting the effective use of information to inform high-quality patient care.

About the Role

This role requires an individual with exceptional analytical skills, who can proactively support senior managers and clinicians through their expertise in NHS information, performance, and planning frameworks. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and have a strong ability to translate complex information into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for delivering statistical presentations to various levels of staff across the organisation, while prioritising and managing multiple sub-projects simultaneously. They will also have the ability to concentrate for extended periods on highly complex analyses, developing large-scale demand and capacity models using NHS information systems. Additionally, they will possess technical expertise in data analysis tools such as Access, Excel, and SQL.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will require:
  • A degree-level education
  • Highly developed specialist knowledge underpinned by theory and experience of using NHS information to drive change
  • In-depth knowledge of NHS information analyses, NHS targets, performance monitoring processes, and performance indicators
  • Excellent numeric skills and the ability to analyse and interpret complex information
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver presentations to all levels of staff

Benefits and Work Environment

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work across other hospital sites, contributing to the development of high-quality patient care. Estimated salary range is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum.
