Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Hours of Work: 12 hours per week (school holidays only)

Rate of Pay: £14.00 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to support a 13-year-old young person with autism. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the young person's life, enabling them to participate in various social activities and develop their skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Accompany the young person on outings to enable and support them to take part in social activities, such as swimming, soft play, and park visits.
  • Provide support and assistance to the young person in their daily life, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with the young person's family to ensure a seamless and supportive experience.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with autism or similar disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including school holidays.

Desirable:

  • Driver with own vehicle and clean license.
