Job Title: Aerodrome Air Traffic Control Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerodrome Air Traffic Control Officer to join our team at Bournemouth Airport. As an Air Traffic Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of aircraft within our airspace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate air traffic control systems to manage the flow of air traffic
  • Communicate with pilots and other air traffic control units to ensure safe and efficient flight operations
  • Monitor and respond to emergency situations, such as aircraft emergencies or weather-related issues
  • Collaborate with other airport staff to ensure smooth airport operations
  • Participate in training and professional development to maintain and improve air traffic control skills

Requirements:

  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to work as part of a small team and maintain a flexible attitude in relation to shift hours and operational requirements
  • Ability to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Services Check (DBS/Criminal record check)
  • Ability to provide a 5-year checkable history, including self-employment or unemployment
