Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Operations team at Princes Limited. As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in coordinating people, plant, and materials to optimize the manufacturing process and deliver key performance objectives within the QCDSP framework.

Supporting our Bradford site vision to be the home of operational excellence and the customer's first choice soft drinks manufacturer, you will be responsible for:

Key Accountabilities

  • Supporting a supportive, inclusive, and open culture
  • Ensuring a detailed understanding of the Princes Manufacturing System (PMS) and site must-win battle plans
  • Implementing lean manufacturing work practices, including 5S, AM, and problem-solving to drive continuous improvement activity
  • Providing cover for the Shift Operations Manager for sickness and holidays
  • Effectively managing people resources through attendance management policies and conducting disciplinary hearings
  • Conducting quarterly performance reviews and capability reviews
  • Mentoring, coaching, and developing team members
  • Supporting recruitment activity and carrying out induction reviews
  • Reviewing Standard Operating Procedures and ensuring compliance with HR and food safety policies
  • Defining and contributing to the organizational structure and plan towards a self-managed team environment
  • Carrying out behavioral audits and risk assessments
  • Ensuring all training is documented using the skills matrix
  • Managing and monitoring labour and FVO budgets
  • Developing professional working relationships with other departments


Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in using manufacturing execution systems (MES), coaching and developing people, managing a team, and 5S and BIT training. Intermediate-level PC skills, planned and autonomous maintenance, and good working knowledge of SAP reporting and planning activity are also essential. Desirable qualifications include basic mechanical skills, IOSH certification, and ILM Level 2/3 qualification.
