**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly experienced and ambitious editor and publisher to lead our Serpent's Tail imprint. As a senior commissioning editor, you will be responsible for shaping the list's commercial and critical success.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Commission and publish showstopping literary fiction and non-fiction
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the imprint
- Work closely with authors, agents, and other stakeholders to achieve commercial and critical success
- Manage a team of editors and publishers to ensure the smooth running of the imprint
**Requirements**
- At least 5 years' experience of commissioning and publishing literary fiction and non-fiction
- Demonstrably strong editing and pitching skills, critical judgement, author care, agent contacts, and knowledge of the literary market
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
