Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced driver to join our team at Manchester United Academy. As an Academy Transport Driver, you will be responsible for providing a safe and reliable passenger service for players and staff around the Greater Manchester area and wider UK.

The Role

As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for:

  • Transporting players and staff to and from training sessions, schools, and match venues
  • Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet vehicles
  • Providing excellent customer service and communication with colleagues, players, and their families
  • Completing daily vehicle checks and adhering to transport regulations
  • Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with staff, players, parents, and other key stakeholders

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A full, clean driving license with experience of driving young/multiple passengers
  • Experience of regular driving and long-distance driving
  • Qualification to drive 17-seater, 9-seater vehicles (category D1)
  • Relevant MIDAS training or PATS training (training will be provided)
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of the schedule and work mornings, evenings, and weekends when required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A clean driving record and ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check

Desirable Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience in transportation and travel arrangements
  • Basic knowledge of legal framework and requirements around driving legislation
  • Experience working with young people
  • Advance or secure driving certification
  • D1 category on driving license
