Senior Broker-US Energy Casualty

A dynamic opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Senior Broker to join our US Energy Casualty team in London. As a key member of our Global Broking Centre, you will be responsible for placing complex and sophisticated risks into the London market while mentoring and coaching less-experienced colleagues to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze submission data to inform risk placement decisions
  • Lead quote broking and follow market broking activities to ensure optimal client outcomes
  • Present terms to clients and network contacts, leveraging your expertise to secure new business
  • Manage firm order broking activities, including PPL and email communications
  • Record broking activity in market sheets to maintain accurate records
  • Review and finalize Market Risk Certificates (MRCs) to ensure compliance
  • Send cover confirmations to clients and network contacts, providing clear and concise updates
  • Provide benchmarking and placement advice to clients, leveraging your knowledge of the London insurance market
  • Attend client meetings to build relationships and identify new business opportunities
  • Establish and manage a pipeline of potential clients and risks, driving business growth and development
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of market broking experience within the US and/or International Casualty Energy marketplace
  • Knowledge of all Up/Mid/Downstream sectors, with Utilities and Renewables experience preferred
  • Sound understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes
  • Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service
  • Experience of managing effective client relationships and driving business growth
  • Ability to structure complex placement programmes with the best client outcomes in mind
  • Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation
  • Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team
