Job Description:

Lorien is seeking a highly skilled IT Programme Manager to lead the planning, structuring, and direction of a divisional programme of work, a programme of interrelated projects, or a large project with major sub-projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Programme Planning and Delivery: Plans, directs, and co-ordinates activities to manage and implement interrelated projects from contract/proposal initiation to final operational stage.
  • Team Leadership: Leads the programme team(s) in determining business requirements and translating requirements into operational plans.
  • Programme Economics: Determines, monitors, and reviews all programme economics to include programme costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, programme resources, and programme risk.
  • Business Benefits: Ensures that programme is managed to realise business benefits and that programme management is informed by an awareness of current technical developments.
  • Accountability: Accountable for the delivery of your programme.
Requirements:
  • Strong Programme Management Experience: Strong programme management experience, preferably in IT infrastructure and cloud services.
  • Prince 2 Certification: Prince 2 certified or equivalent.
  • Core Infrastructure Experience: Core infrastructure experience, including knowledge of desktop, hardware, printers, LAN, and WAN.
  • Project Management and Leadership Skills: Proven project management and leadership skills, and a good knowledge of business analysis.
  • Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Principles, methods, techniques, and tools for the preparation and monitoring of budgets to minimise costs and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Programme Management Methods: Knowledge of programme and project management methods, including MSP, PRINCE2, and Agile.
  • Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Security Clearance: Able to gain SC clearance.
