About the Role

The successful candidate will oversee the cost control system, prepare costing accounting variance reports, and implement local standard cost rolls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the cost control system and prepare costing accounting variance reports for management.
  • Implement local standard cost rolls and assist in inventory control.
  • Develop and implement inventory management procedures, including cycle counting and compliance controls.
  • Conduct, implement, and audit Fixed Asset Procedures and controls.
  • Work with the finance team to complete the monthly accounting close and financial/operational analysis.
  • Identify and correct control weaknesses, ensuring proper controls are in place.
  • Drive cost reductions through labor and material productivity initiatives.
  • Provide financial support and analysis to the business on manufacturing issues.
  • Initiate and assist with the creation, development, and implementation of processes and procedures.
  • Assist with local capital expenditure analysis and provide support for external and internal audits.
  • Consistently support compliance and maintain the privacy and confidentiality of information.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and at least 7-10 years of professional experience in Operational Finance and/or Cost Accounting.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate in a high growth and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite of software, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret financial and operations analyses/reports.
  • Strong technical competence in manufacturing financial control and costing.
  • Understanding of US GAAP, international accounting standards, and internal control.
