Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Emergency Duty Service team as an Out of Hours Service Advisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing prompt and efficient responses to service users, carers, agencies, medical care professionals, and other stakeholders.

The role involves using specialist knowledge and judgment to respond to enquiries and requests with appropriate information and advice. This may include identifying and responding to urgent or critical situations by passing referrals to the EDS Social Workers.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, experience of working under pressure in a busy office environment, and a working knowledge of standard ICT software and systems. Full training will be provided for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing accurate and up-to-date information and advice to callers on Social Care policies and services.
  • Recording all information quickly and accurately, and entering it onto the appropriate database.
  • Capturing data required for performance indicators in the correct format or style.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to support the sharing of knowledge and new information.

Salary: £17,666 to £20,077 per annum (pro rata) plus 15% Out of Hours allowance.
