We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our Parent Infant Center (PIC) at Bryn Mawr College. The PIC is a non-profit, NAEYC accredited, early childhood education and school-age program rooted in the Reggio Emilia philosophy and inspiration, play-based and project-based learning, and connecting children to nature.

About the Position

The Executive Director will work closely with the PIC staff and Board to achieve the organizational mission to provide and increase access to high-quality early childhood education and school-age programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, non-profit administration, and leadership. They will be responsible for managing the administrative and teaching staff, representing the PIC to internal and external communities, guiding the Board of Directors, and acting as steward of the Center's vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the administrative and teaching staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and school-age programs.
  • Represent the PIC to internal and external communities, including the Board of Directors, staff, families, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve the organizational mission and goals.
  • Manage the budget, human resources, and facilities to ensure the financial sustainability and growth of the PIC.
  • Lead fundraising efforts to secure funding for the PIC's programs and services.
  • Provide leadership to staff in program planning and implementation, within guidelines of the Center's philosophy, developmentally appropriate practices, accreditation standards, and licensing regulations.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
  • Five years' experience working with both preschool and school-age children in formal or informal educational settings.
  • Two years' experience in non-profit administration required; previous experience as Executive Director preferred.
  • Clear, professional written and oral communication.
  • Solid computer skills and familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, accounting, and database programs.
  • Child abuse clearance, state police clearance, FBI fingerprinting clearance, and NSR.
  • PA Director's Credential and PQAS certification for training are a plus.
Compensation

The starting salary range is approximately $90k-$115k, commensurate with experience.
