About the Role:

We're seeking a skilled Full-stack Engineer with a backend focus to join our innovative team. This hybrid position requires candidates to be based in the London area. As a key member of our team, you'll develop and maintain both frontend and backend systems that power our cutting-edge platform, ensuring they're engaging, scalable, and secure.

  1. Design and implement dynamic frontend applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
  2. Develop and manage backend systems using Python, FastAPI, Celery, and Redis.
  3. Deploy, manage, and optimize applications on AWS, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
  4. Utilize Docker for containerization to streamline development and deployment processes.
  5. Apply knowledge of LLMs, including embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and vector databases to enhance educational content and learning experiences.
  6. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.
  7. Conduct code reviews, identify and resolve issues, and perform debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
RequirementsWhat You Bring:
  1. A strong academic background from top universities.
  2. Proficiency in frontend development with Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
  3. Strong backend development skills with Python, FastAPI, Celery, Redis, and AWS.
  4. Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
  5. Fundamental knowledge of LLMs, including embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and vector databases.
  6. Familiarity with other Python frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django) or backend languages like Node.js or Golang is a plus.
  7. A proactive attitude and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
