Heavy Vehicle Technician

At Fusion People Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter - Engine Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the refurbishment of engines and similar equipment used in the rail, marine, and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure your own health and safety and that of others, and promote a positive health and safety culture within the workplace.
- Meet all health and safety obligations and adhere to company policies.
- Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents, and incidents by the end of the shift to allow for full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
- Strip and re-build all mechanical components of an engine, as per work instructions.
- Work to OEM manuals and read and interpret assembly specifications and manuals to plan assembly and build operations.
- Verify conformance of parts to stock lists using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
- Liaise with other business units to complete tasks.
- Adhere to strict deadlines and accurately complete documentation to the Company's standards.
- Dispose of waste correctly and mentor trainees/apprentices when applicable.
- Report any near misses and comply with Company and statutory Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and HR policies and procedures.
- Report any failures/faults identified.
