Job Title: Children & Young People Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Children & Young People Officer. As an early years practitioner, you will play a vital role in promoting children's learning, development, and welfare within a nursery context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to promote children's learning and development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a high-quality service is delivered
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support the well-being of children and young people

Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant practitioner-level qualification (HNC Childhood Practice/Early Years Education & Childcare or SVQ Level 3 Social Services, Children and Young People)
  • Be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) at practitioner level
  • Have a working knowledge of the Curriculum for Excellence and child development from birth to 5 years
  • Demonstrate high levels of interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
