About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as an Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about improving the lives of young autistic individuals.
As a SEN Teacher Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to provide personalized support to students with autism. Your role will involve developing strategies to overcome barriers to learning, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, and building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the teacher in planning and delivering lessons tailored to the needs of students with autism
- Develop and implement behavior management plans to promote positive behavior and reduce challenging behavior
- Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless transitions and partnerships
What You Will Need
- A strong understanding of autism and its impact on learning
- Experience working with children with autism or similar special needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for education and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of students with autism
Salary and Benefits
