About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Policy Planner to join our Design, Conservation and Transport team in the Planning and Growth Division. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for writing policy, researching, monitoring, and working with consultants to develop and implement effective planning strategies.

Key responsibilities will include providing advice on strategic and major applications, processing design and conservation planning applications, and working closely with colleagues to achieve our goals.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a design and/or heritage qualification, as well as excellent knowledge of planning policy and design considerations. You should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of strategic planning issues and be able to translate complex issues into development management policies.
