Sales Engineer Professional

The Technical Sales Proposal Engineer is responsible for providing technical solutions, concept design, cost estimations, and proposals for automated handling systems and conveyors.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales team to generate new business through customer-specific product concepts and quotations, closely linked with the engineering team.
- Demonstrate good commercial awareness and understanding of customer requirements, identifying opportunities for further sales growth.
- Develop and maintain a strong customer portfolio and order base.
- Possess a deep knowledge of complex mechanical systems, including techniques for low-volume production, such as milling, turning, fabricated frameworks, sheet metal fabrication, etc.
- Demonstrate expertise in PLC control systems within an industrial environment and possess an interest in Industry 4.
- Proficient in 3D CAD design software, ideally SolidWorks, producing 3D rendered concept drawings.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in all aspects of engineering, including advanced manufacturing techniques.
Requirements:
- An engineering degree (mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics) or equivalent apprenticeship experience.
- Hands-on exposure to designing electro-mechanical systems in industrial, automotive, or aerospace environments, preferably special purpose automation/materials handling equipment.
- A solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly procedures at a systems level, considering electrical controls, reliability, and maintenance requirements.
- Proficiency in office software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- The ability to read and interpret customer terms and conditions, identifying potential risks.
