About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Practitioner to join our team on a part-time basis (22 hours per week). As a key member of our research group, you will provide technical and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of laboratory activities. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the Clinical Research Manager and the study team to efficiently run academic studies and clinical trials.

Main duties include overseeing the collection, processing, and storage of tissue samples under the Human Tissue Act. You will also be responsible for prioritizing and managing your own and others' workloads, as well as demonstrating good negotiating and team working skills. Applicants should have a strong understanding of research studies or similar health-related projects and experience working within a hospital or academic environment.

The Radcliffe Department of Clinical Medicine within the Medical Sciences Division is one of the largest departments in the University of Oxford. Our department aims to tackle some of the world's biggest health challenges by integrating innovative basic biology with cutting-edge clinical research.

About You

You will have experience working in a laboratory environment and a strong understanding of the requirements of Good Clinical Practice and the rights of individuals participating in clinical research protocols. You should be educated to at least A-level or equivalent qualification in science and have the ability to troubleshoot problems with experiments and arrive at an appropriate solution.
