Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Director to lead our engineering team at the Corby site. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving engineering standards, organisational development, and asset performance to achieve competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the engineering budget and strive to improve total cost maintenance and asset life cycle costs.
  • Drive and embed the SAP Planned Maintenance Programme to deliver improved engineering performance.
  • Develop and implement engineering projects that contribute to business goals.
  • Manage resource during major and minor plant shutdowns.
  • Drive area KPI's towards improvement, aiming to reduce downtime on site assets.
  • Drive area safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure team training is actively managed and applicable to roles within the team.
  • Ensure adequate resource is available across all shifts to aid operational objectives.

Requirements:

  • Experience managing a multi-disciplined team.
  • Knowledge of managing a Computerised Maintenance Management System (SAP experience is advantageous).
  • Experience in managing an engineering budget.
  • Experience in planning and managing plant shutdowns in accordance with Health and Safety.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal/management skills.
  • Ability to train and develop teams.
  • Preferably degree qualified in a relevant discipline, or equivalent by experience, with considerable management experience gained with an engineering and/or manufacturing environment.
