About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Laboratory Analyst Grade 3 to join our Organics department at ALS Coventry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing analysis of samples using a range of GC, GCMS, and LC methods, working closely with senior analysts to ensure smooth laboratory operations.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be able to follow instructions closely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand customer requirements
  • Ensure samples are completed efficiently and effectively following all processes, procedures, and legislation
  • Deliver on key performance indicators
  • Report analytical data
  • Troubleshoot and rectify equipment issues, including daily preventative maintenance
  • Investigate and report on NCW on the QMS and assign priority
  • Assist team members to achieve work objectives
  • Proactively ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures

About You:

  • Qualifications required are 5 GCSEs at Grade C (equivalent to new Grade 4) or above to include Science, Maths, and English
  • A level or equivalent in a scientific subject, or relevant industry knowledge
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures, with a willingness to learn
  • Client-driven
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Great collaborator
  • Ability to plan and organise own work area
