Job Title: Acute Oncology Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Trainee

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Trainee to join our Acute Oncology Nursing Team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide a direct/indirect outreach acute oncology service for NHS Tayside.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Triaging oncology patients and providing assessment and intervention for patients with cancer/treatment toxicity
  • Working with patients and carers to prevent or facilitate admission, where appropriate
  • Effective teamwork and communication with a wide spectrum of multidisciplinary teams
  • Autonomous practice, triaging patients at home and reviewing unscheduled patients within the triage unit when required
  • Assessment, diagnosis, and management of the acutely unwell patient
Requirements:
  • UK NMC Registered Level 1 Adult Nurse with extensive post-registration experience within an acute care setting
  • Excellent clinical knowledge, leadership, and communication skills
  • Willingness to undertake further education specific to this role
