Job Title: Assistant Optical Manager

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure practice efficiency and compliance with organisational procedures
  • Deliver exceptional customer satisfaction with products and services
  • Lead and motivate staff, providing training and development opportunities
  • Drive business growth and realise the full potential of the practice
  • Manage stock control and maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met across the practice
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department to maximise marketing effectiveness
  • Drive cost efficiencies and achieve maximum profitability
  • Dispense spectacles to prescriptions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Personal Specification:
  • Previous management experience or a proven track record of developing and supporting staff
  • Strong background in customer service and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care
  • Experience of driving business performance and achieving sales, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency targets
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and engage staff at all levels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to act with tact and discretion
  • Positive and outgoing, with a flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to provide cover to other practices

This is a full-time, permanent position, with a 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday, with weekend availability. The ideal candidate will be able to commute or relocate to Didcot, with a minimum of 1 year's experience in optical supervisory roles.
