Geriatrician Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine to join our team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the multidisciplinary care of elderly patients within our NHS settings. This will involve working closely with colleagues in acute and general medicine, as well as in the Emergency Department.

The postholder will also be expected to support the development of Frailty services, incorporating our Acute site and Community services. This will involve embedding specialist geriatrician input within the Emergency Department and Same Day Emergency Care service, while also supporting the Home First approach via our Virtual Frailty Ward.

• Lead the multidisciplinary care of elderly patients within NHS settings
• Work closely with colleagues in acute and general medicine, as well as in the Emergency Department
• Support the development of Frailty services, incorporating Acute site and Community services
• Embed specialist geriatrician input within the Emergency Department and Same Day Emergency Care service
• Support the Home First approach via our Virtual Frailty Ward

• CCT date or within 6 months of CCT
• MRCP or equivalent
• Interest in and knowledge of the management of Acute Frailty
• Completed Fellowship Programme
