Network Open, a leading provider of optical services, is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Optical Assistant to join our team in Brighton and surrounding areas.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Optical Assistant to provide exceptional patient care and support to our optometrists in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As an Optical Assistant, you will be responsible for carrying out fittings and aftercare, assisting with dispensing, and providing a high level of customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out fittings and aftercare for patients in care homes and their own homes
  • Assist optometrists with dispensing and other tasks as required
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families
  • Work collaboratively with the optometrist and other team members to achieve excellent patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as an Optical Assistant
  • A full driving license and a reliable vehicle
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A sympathetic and empathetic approach to patient care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
