Policy and Public Affairs Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy and Public Affairs Officer to join our team at AdviceUK. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our policy and public affairs activities, ensuring our voice is heard at a national and regional level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to inform policy efforts and develop policy materials
  • Monitor political and regulatory developments and keep stakeholders updated on activities
  • Maintain stakeholder engagement and manage parliamentary contacts
  • Engage members in advocacy work and build strong relationships with colleagues, partners, and suppliers
  • Provide data analysis to support decision-making and maintain data accuracy

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have at least two years' experience working in policy and public affairs. You will have excellent knowledge of local and national government structures, the UK and devolved parliaments within a policy context, and experience of political and media mapping. You will also have strong communication skills, excellent analytical and decision-making skills, and the ability to work in partnership on campaigns.
